Westlake Ace Hardware to Open New Olathe, Kansas Store

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (June 27, 2023) – Westlake Ace Hardware announced today it has signed an agreement to open a new store in western Olathe, Ks. Westlake Ace currently owns and operates more than 20 stores in the Kansas City metropolitan area.

Located at 1185 West Santa Fe St. — near the intersection of Highway K-7 and Santa Fe — the new 16,500 sq. ft. store will feature 15,000 sq. ft. of retail space. Remodeling will be completed by fall 2023. A soft opening is tentatively planned for December 2023.

In addition to offering services such as key cutting and automotive key fob replacement, screen repair, and a propane tank exchange, the new Westlake Ace store will sell lawn and garden supplies, fasteners, tools, plumbing, and electrical supplies. The location will also feature several specialty departments and store-within-a-store concepts:

• The Backyard BBQ department will feature a full range of grills and BBQ accessories from such leading brands as Weber and Traeger.
• The Outdoor Power Equipment department will sell a full range of gas-, electric-, and battery-powered blowers, chain saws, mowers, and string trimmers from manufacturers such as Stihl, EGO, Craftsman, and Toro.
• The Paint Studio will feature a wide range of paints and painting supplies from Benjamin Moore, Magnolia Home, Clark + Kensington, Purdy, and Kilz.

In related news, the Westlake Ace store in Liberty, Mo. will open in the summer of 2023. The new store is being built at 9715 N. Ash Avenue, in the Highland Plaza Shopping Center. The store will be located on the northwest corner of I-35 and Highway 291, next to the Price Chopper.

A soft opening for the new Westlake Ace store in south Lee’s Summit, Mo. will take place by early 2024. The store will be located at 3511 SW Market St.
