Killer BBQ Beans Recipe
This is a great vegetarian dish but you can jack up the flavor by adding 8-12 oz of chopped and smoked brisket. Perfect for 6-8 people but go ahead and make a double batch; it freezes beautifully.
2 15-ounce cans of Pork & Beans
1 15-ounce can of dark red kidney beans 1 15 ounce can of black beans
1 Small red onion (finely diced)
1 Green bell pepper (finely diced)
1 Jalapeño pepper (finely diced)
2 Cups dark brown sugar
1 Bottle of Bravo Bravo Que
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Drain beans and place in an aluminum foil pan.
Dice onion and pepper, removing seeds. Add to aluminum pan and mix.
Place pan on a cookie sheet and cook at 350 degrees for 2 hours, stirring every 15 minutes.
Remove from heat and cover for at least 30 minutes. This recipe is much better made the day before then warmed up.
