Westlake Ace Helps Build Tiny Houses For Big Changes in Veteran’s Lives

Being helpful and serving the communities in which Westlake Ace does business is central to our core values. That’s why we are proud to be a long-time supporter of Veterans Community Project (VCP) in their mission to care for homeless Veterans.

VCP is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of every man and woman who took the oath for our country – especially homeless Veterans. The transitional housing VCP provides in its Tiny Home Village provides the boost that many homeless veterans need to get their lives back on track. Though the homes are small, each is equipped with a kitchen, bathroom, and other furnishings. Residents are even allowed to share the homes with their beloved pets.

This Heartware Story from Ace Hardware chronicles how Westlake Ace continues to provide VCP with the supplies and support it needs to fulfill its mission. “Helpful is getting out of yourself and understanding the value of other people,” Curt Sparks, Westlake Ace human resources manager for culture & core values, said: “It’s the joy you get when you serve.”
