I started at Westlake Ace as the General Manager for the store in Thousand Oaks California in May of 2023. I have had the opportunity to spend my entire career working in retail. My first job was collecting shopping carts as a courtesy clerk at Ole’s Hardware store, long gone now. From there I worked my way up to different positions such as Department manager, Nursery Manager, Key Carrier and Ops manager. I have had many stops between my start and today. I spent 10 years as a store manager at a large Toy Store and some time at a Pet Store. With time I found that I missed working in the Hardware Business and the family I had working with them and made the decision to come back. I have loved my first 9 months here it has been fun and rewarding and look forward to what the future brings.
