Raleigh-Area Westlake Ace Hardware Grand Opening Set for March 24-26

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (March 20, 2023) – The new Westlake Ace Hardware at 9101 Leesville Road, Suite 169 (Pinecrest Pointe shopping center) in Raleigh, N.C., will host a grand opening event and sale March 24-26. The event will also be an opportunity for the community to meet Scott Jones, the store’s general manager.

The 14,000 sq. ft. store offers popular services such as key cutting and automotive key fob replacement, propane tank exchange, knife sharpening, carpet cleaner rental, and screen repair. Additionally, the store will feature several specialty departments and store-within-a-store concepts, selling such brands as:

• Milwaukee, DeWalt, and Craftsman power tools
• Benjamin Moore and Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines paints
• Stihl, Ego, and Toro outdoor power equipment (including Stihl repair)
• Weber, Traeger, and Big Green Egg grills and accessories
• Scotts lawn care products
• Solo Stove firepits
• Yeti coolers and accessories

Long-time Westlake associate Scott Jones was named general manager of the new store. He joined the company in 1996.

Jones comes to the job naturally. He said, “Being the only son of a mechanic, I was around tools at a very young age while helping my dad fix things around the house, so it wasn’t a surprise that I took a job where I could help people with their own household projects.”

In his spare time, Jones enjoys lawn work and – not surprisingly — fixing things around the house.

Jones added, “I look forward to welcoming everyone to the new store and showing our friends and customers how we live the Ace Helpful Promise every day by delivering reliable service, helpful advice, and the products they need to preserve and maintain their homes.”

“Board Cutting” and Grand Opening Celebrations

A ceremonial board cutting by Westlake Ace leadership and representatives from the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce will be held at 8 a.m. on Thursday, March 23. A light breakfast will be served.

A “20% Off Grand Opening Celebration Sale” will be held March 24-26. On Saturday, March 25, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., a grand opening celebration event will include grill demonstrations, prize drawings, free kids’ activities, and a food truck with special treats.

In 2022, Westlake Ace Hardware announced it is opening two new stores in the Raleigh-Durham metropolitan area in 2023: the new Pinecrest Pointe location, and a store at 1080 North Rogers Lane (Edgewater Place shopping area). The Edgewater Place store will officially open at the end of March.

Westlake Ace currently owns and operates 11 other stores in North Carolina; five located in the Raleigh- Durham metro area, and six in the Outer Banks.
