Grand Opening Set for Ace Hardware of San Jose

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (June 17, 2024) – The new Ace Hardware of San Jose at 634 Blossom Hill Road will host a “board cutting” grand opening event on June 20 — followed by a sale and many special activities from June 21-23.  The weekend event is also an opportunity to meet Krischell Kilgore, the new store’s general manager.

The 19,000 sq. ft. store features a wide range of products including lawn and garden supplies, fasteners, tools, plumbing, and electrical supplies. It also offers services such as automotive key cutting, key fob replacement, Stihl outdoor power equipment repair, carpet cleaning machine rental, and propane tank exchange.

Ace Hardware of San Jose features several specialty departments and store-within-a-store concepts, selling such leading brands as:

• Big Green Egg, Blackstone, Traeger, and Weber grills and accessories
• Craftsman, DeWalt, and Milwaukee power tools
• Diablo saw blades and power tool accessories
• Benjamin Moore and Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines paints
• EGO, Milwaukee, and Stihl outdoor power equipment
• Scotts and Miracle-Gro lawn and plant care products
• Carhartt workwear
• Yeti coolers and accessories
• A nursery selling such items as plants, flowers, succulents, shrubs, pottery, and outdoor living supplies

Board Cutting and Grand Opening Celebrations

• A ceremonial board cutting by Westlake Ace leadership and San Jose dignitaries will be held at 9 a.m. on Thursday, June 20. A light breakfast will be served.
• A “Celebration Sale” will be held June 21-23 during which customers will receive 20 percent off most purchases.
• On Saturday, June 22, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., the grand opening celebration event will include vendor demonstrations, free prize drawings, refreshments, and a balloon artist and other free kids’ activities.

General Manager Krischell Kilgore has more than 15 years of experience in retail hardware. She joined Westlake Ace Hardware in 2019 and was most recently the general manager of Ace Hardware of Mountain View (CA).

Kilgore says that the best part of her job is helping customers. But when she’s not doing that, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, bicycling, and playing softball.

Westlake Ace owns and operates 19 California locations, including nine in Northern California: Chico, Fresno, Livermore, Mountain View, Pinole, Pleasant Hill, San Jose, Santa Rosa (Guerneville Fulton Ace Hardware), Turlock, and Woodland. The retailer is developing locations in Northern and Southern California, including Agoura Hills, Mission Hills, and San Leandro.
